Flies are often attracted to humans because of the carbon dioxide we exhale, body heat, sweat, and the natural oils and salts on our skin. Indoors, they may also be drawn to food residues, garbage, or pet waste. Since flies have a strong sense of smell and are constantly searching for food and breeding sites, they tend to buzz around people, especially in warm, poorly screened, or unclean environments.
